SHARED EXPERIENCES

I suppose we will learn that Sawyer was in the cave, then suddenly turned around to find Flocke gone. So he climbs down to the cliff to the coast line, and begins to travel to find a way back up to the jungle level. During his trip, just before sunset, he rounds a corner and spots the Lighthouse. In the forefront, he sees a silhouette of a man staring off into the ocean. So he reaches the base of stone outcropping, and climbs up to the silhouette man.

As Sawyer sweats over the top of the ledge, he sees the man clearly and grunts, "So it's you."
Jack is startled, then helps him up to sit next to him. This may be the first time the two men have met after a deep period of personal solitude. They have many shared island experiences: leader, Kate, Juliet, death, self preservation. This would be the critical balancing point for the entire LOST mythology.

"So what did your guy offer you?," Sawyer will ask.
"What guy?" Jack will say.
"Locke offered me a way off this rock," Sawyer would say staring out to sea.
"That's not Locke," Jack would respond.
"I know that!" Sawyer would snap back.
"So what did your guy offer you?," Sawyer will ask again.
"What guy?" Jack will say.
"The one in the white shirt, next to Hurley," Sawyer will say pointing toward the lighthouse.
Then Jack's expression would turn, for he only sees Hurley.
